
Conf. univ. dr. Alexandru TĂBUȘCĂ
Alexandru Tăbușcă is a PhD Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Computer Science for Business Management at the Romanian-American University, with over two decades of academic experience since 2001. His teaching and research activities focus on Computer Science, Economic Informatics, and IT for Business, and he is the author of more than 60 scientific publications. He has been actively involved in numerous national and international research projects, serving in roles ranging from member to project manager, and has contributed to over 30 international conferences as a committee member or chair. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Systems & Operations Management and is an active member of the international academic community. His areas of expertise include high-level programming (especially Java), web application development, database management, computer networks, artificial intelligence, data security, and emerging technologies such as 3D modelling and printing. Alongside his academic career, he has extensive managerial experience across the private, NGO, and educational sectors, including roles such as IT Director and Chief Information Officer, where he led infrastructure development and IT&C security initiatives. A graduate of both the Romanian-American University and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, where he also earned his PhD, he further completed postdoctoral studies at the Romanian Academy. Since 2020, he has been serving as Dean, contributing to the continuous development and modernization of education in the field of computer science for business.
